Just musing on Hollywood fashion

It's Ok Not To Wear Plaid by lancelonie, on Flickr
I'm glad I finally went out to Hollywood to get first-hand information about Halloween costumes. After I posted the article for eXaminer.com yesterday, I wanted to go back to the boulevard and investigate some more. The first to comment said he's a good friend of Beatriz. He said her store is where girls shop for parties to the Playboy mansion. That's fabulous, I thought. But I do feel the need to find that out myself...

The next day, after Sunday lunch at my cousin's, we drove back to Hollywood. I wasn't planning on interviewing. I only wanted to take candid shots of (stylish) people. It was then when I wished I was on the streets of New York. Although I haven't been there, I pictured NY as a huge walk-in closet. Its selection, very versatile - retro, modern, cultural, plain weird . . . yet, still stylish.

I don't know about the actual Hollywood fashion. I'm a bit clueless. Al I think about before when one says Hollywood are celebrities 'cause they're synonymous. That makes my writing easier 'cause I only have to search online for . . . say, Lindsay Lohan . . . and . . . bam . . . Fornarina . . . Emanuel Ungaro. Speaking of Lohan, this poor girl seems to have made a lot of bad publicity. What ever happen to her career? She can act. She can sing. She can dance. Now, she is artistic adviser in Ungaro's house of fashion. They say some fashion industry people were shocked. Bloggers I've visited have not written something nice about her either. It's funny I just hovered over a celebrity blog featuring Lohan and the fashion ad is Hilary Duff for DKNY. Well, I can't comment any further on this. I'm not a fan but I'm neutral. I enjoy watching her Disney reruns with my daughter. As for her creative consulting, let's just see if she's really a little bossy... La-la-la-la...
Now, where was I?

We're nearing Grauman's Chinese Theater and a small portion of the road around it was barricaded. I found out that the 13th Annual Latino Film Festival opening gala was happening at 6pm. I thought maybe I could take pictures. I went home to recharge my camera battery and came back. The paparazzi were already crowding and little me may not be able to sneak through. Traffic was heavy and there was no easy parking. Plus, I have excess baggage and she's only 3 years old. (Sigh!) Oh, well! Forget it! I said to myself I'll find it in the news like I always do...

***

I think this is more spectacular than the Latin film fest - a weird cloud formation, straight out of my camera (except, of course, the collage and watermarks). I just thought it's cool to share this in Blogger, too. I'm also interested in knowing what type of cloud this really is. I tagged it as cumulonimbus in Flickr; but I could be wrong... Click it to enlarge, see my notes and read what some people are saying...

Nelonie, I loved reading about your adventures in Hollywood and your 'excess baggage' is more adorable than any celebrity!♥ I also really like your clouds. Wonder what kind they are also? It looks like a tunnel of sorts.

I still don't understand what happened to LiLo. It's a shame. I'm glad to see her doing something positive, though, and willing to give her the benefit of the doubt.
